After going viral in 2017 with her rendition of ‘Don’t Fade’ on the Colors platform and supporting Billie Eilish on her European tour, JGrrey found herself confronting some hard truths. The artist persona, JGrrey, and the person behind it, Jen, were beginning to drift apart leading her to enter a period of reflection and reinvention. Jen emerged more self-assured than she has been since stepping up to that Colors mic 7 years ago.

Her latest mixtape, ‘If Not Now?’ - her first in 4 years - tells a story of gratitude, righteous fury and learnt unshakable self-confidence. The final single ‘So Sick’ is a battle cry in the form of a Jazz freestyle. JGrrey is finally at a stage where pursuing music not only feels good again, it feels exciting. “I’m happy to say that I have never been so proud to release music,” she says. Finally, the gap between JGrrey and Jen has been closed and she has the stories to tell.
