Hailing from San Diego, band members Alex Garcia, Sal Samano and Josh Lane bonded over a shared love of soul. There’s an inevitability to the sound of Thee Sacred Souls, as if they’ve been playing together for a lifetime already.

Their blend of sweet ’60s soul and early ’70s R&B mixed with Lane’s weightless vocals are what make them so special and it’s no surprise that their first singles racked up more than ten million streams in a year.

Their self-titled debut album was released in 2022 with clear influences of Chicano, Philly, Chicago, Memphis, and even Panama soul, and while it’s tempting to toss around labels like “retro” and “vintage”, there’s also something distinctly modern about the band that defies convention, a rawness and a sincerity that transcends time and place.

Bittersweet meditations on love and loss are what Thee Sacred Souls is all about; not just accepting our emotions, but embracing them as a beautiful and fundamental piece of the human experience.

We are so excited to have Thee Sacred Souls perform at Cross The Tracks 2024, be prepared for a soulful journey.
