Ruby Wood is a vocalist and songwriter hailing from Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. Her soulful yet distinctive voice has enabled her to front numerous projects, perhaps best known as lead vocalist of the critically acclaimed Submotion Orchestra since 2009. Her parents are Jazz lovers, naming her after the Thelonius Monk classic ‘Ruby, My Dear'; they exposed her to a wide variety of genres and styles from an early age. Although her debut EP ‘Sincerely’ was released in September 2023, she has toured as lead vocalist for Bonobo’s live band and for Nubiyan Twist along with writing and recording with Krept & Konan, Alfa Mist, Hemai and more. We’re so excited for Ruby Wood to take the stage at Cross The Tracks 2024.
