Raised in London and Leeds and exposed to an eclectic range of genres. Jamilah Barry grew up on Soul, R&B, Pop, Folk, Jazz, Hip Hop, Bollywood soundtracks and the Guinean music of her family heritage.

It’s no wonder that Jamilah’s music cannot be defined by the conventions of UK Soul/R&B. The singer-songwriter’s natural inclination is to flow “wherever feels good” with thoughtful lyrics and intriguing sonic sophistication that explore her inner and outer worlds.
