South London husband and wife team, Handson Family (Cyndi Anafo and Chris Ellis) wear many hats; DJs, promoters, tastemakers, artist bookers and sound creators.

With over two decades of experience DJing and promoting independent music, Handson Family are passionate about South London’s legacy of Black music club culture and uplifting the community they were raised here.

We are beyond honoured to host HF at Cross The Tracks 2024 with the Handson Family’s Heritage Stage feat.

Mr Thing

With a name synonymous with Hip-Hop, Mr Thing is known worldwide for his impeccable skills. Creating flawless sets by mixing the rarest and best-loved records since 1987, Mr Thing is not one to miss.

The SheJay

Music connoisseur The SheJay started out at age 17 as an MC in the UK House and Garage scene under the moniker MC 1E. With a career spanning over two decades, vast musical knowledge and without DJing software, The SheJay proves that DJing is, in fact, an art form.

Vanessa Freeman

Singer, songwriter and exceptional performer Vanessa Freeman is one of the most exciting Black female voices in the Nu Soul genre. Her sublime and spiritual live performances are an experience that cannot be missed

LyricL

Lyricist, singer-songwriter and FeMCee, LyricL, is an incredible performer, whose fresh style exudes joy and euphoria. Her eclectic catalogue spans Hip-Hop, House, Jazz through to Afro and Broken Beat with a soulful edge all enhanced by her lyricism and spoken word.

Exhibit69

Exhibit69 was born in South London but spent his formative years in the USA, influenced by comic books and the hip-hop scene, Exhibit69 is the mastermind behind a number of iconic art pieces. His art style combines a punk ethos with graffiti, comics and pop culture references. He explores his complex lived experience through a painting approach that deliberately de-colonises art.

DJ Flight

The first woman to host a national Drum & Bass show, DJ Flight is one of the pioneers of Drum & Bass. She is an award-winning DJ, broadcaster, radio producer, and co-founder of EQ50, a collective of women working towards fairer representation in dance music.

Charlie Dark

Charlie Dark is a veteran of London’s multi-faceted music scene and has been spinning records since the early ‘80s. He is a runner, DJ, leader, teacher, speaker, poet and founder of the alternative running club Run Dem Crew.

Terri Walker

Singer and songwriter Terri Walker’s voice brings a deeply jazzy sensibility to her music. Her voice fits seamlessly into every genre she touches whether it’s UK garage, deep house, or soul.

Abi Clarke

Abi Clarke’s career started off in 1996 playing a mix of Soul, Jazz Funk, Boogie and Rare groove. With an eclectic taste, Abi remains a Soul Girl at heart.
