Emma-Jean Thackray is a bandleader, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Her spiritually-minded, dancefloor-angled take on jazz is a unique approach to the genre. Her time in a brass band showed Emma-Jean the power of a communal approach to music.

Emma-Jean’s debut album ‘Yellow’, dropped in July 2021 and feels like a further step into a fresh and distinct space; blending ‘70s jazz fusion and P-funk, she speaks with honesty and truth.
