Reggae legend Dennis Bovell MBE, is a Barbados-born reggae guitarist, bass player and record producer. He was a member of the prominent 1970s British reggae band Matumbi, and has produced albums under his own name and the pseudonym 'Blackbeard.'

As a producer, songwriter
and sound engineer, he revolutionised the sound
of reggae and dub music
in Britain. Dennis innovated sub-genres including Lovers Rock and he is known for his unique style and experimentality with various styles and influences.
